Matilda is a large Butternut, specifically bred for processing use. The variety has an exceptional balance between vigour and fruit set and also performs well in cooler conditions. The fruit are large (to 4,0kg), have the typical Waltham-shape with slight ribbing. Fruit have good storage capacity. Despite the large size, the variety has a medium maturity.
