Do you have a natural feeling for plant-pathogen interactions? Do you want to study seed health testing, seed borne pathogen epidemiology and biological control? This position of Assistant Researcher Seed Pathology Research might be just right for you!
The Seed Pathology Research department is specialised in research on seed-borne pathogens threatening seed health.
As an Assistant Researcher your main task will be the development and validation of seed health test methods, studying the epidemiology of seed borne pathogens and mechanisms for biological control.
Furthermore you will participate in the implementation of the developed protocols for routine analysis in the routine seed health laboratory.
You will do general microbiology and basic molecular biology lab work for method development. You carry out greenhouse and open field experiments to study healthy and diseased plants and biological control of diseases.
