Logistics Planner

 

Fast and accurate order processing

Does a sufficient inventory makes you happy? Do you want to ensure timely delivery with an efficient procurement process and minimising inventory write off? As a Logistics Planner you facilitate excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders and proactive communication.

What are you going to do?

As Logistic Planner, you ensure that the seed inventory is always readily available to meet forecasted sales. You receive incoming seeds, monitor status of all outstanding seed transfer orders and follow up as necessary. In other words, inventory and warehouse management and that also means maintaining the warehouse at a level of excellence for cleanliness and order. Coordinate and manage all matters concerning facility management, such as safety and security, purchasing, building and equipment maintenance and landscape maintenance.

You work closely with the local sales department to prepare weekly spot order purchases and keep accurate records of transfers received and ensure that all documents are forwarded to the local Finance Department in a timely manner. Enza Zaden is a fast-growing company. In that capacity, one of your responsibilities is to identify areas in which internal processes affect our service level to our internal/external customers and proactive recommend sustainable improvements for processes that are not efficient yet.

You give the Sales/Marketing team administrative support as needed. Eventually, the aim is to deliver excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders. Therefore, you compare and scrutinise the existing and estimated future inventory levels relating to the updated forecasts, bookings and contracts/pending sales orders. But also, a monthly preparation of the update report to ensure that germination information remains current. And greeting guests and venders in the main lobby area. All QA documentation and certification should be stored in a timely manner and should be easily accessible for other departments.

Your power

You are well spoken, driven and want to serve our customers efficiently. Because of the variation in the tasks you have to have excellent organisation and time management skills. To create and coordinate milling, packaging and seed enhancement process assignments in the ABS / ERP system and through third party venders as necessary, you have to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new applications quickly. A good understanding how the industry works is a plus.

In short, you:

  • have at least a Bachelor's degree;
  • have relevant work experience in seed or equivalent professional experience;
  • must be willing and able to obtain a forklift drive permit;
  • ability to work occasional weekends;
  • occasional travel up to 10%, including some domestic and international travel.

And finally, you work in an office environment as well as in a warehouse environment, with frequent use of a computer screen.
