Product Specialist, Greenhouse Tomato and Pepper

 

Selecting the best varieties

Trial, evaluate and report on new experimental varieties in all stages before the commercial release, in close cooperation with breeding and sales teams. As a member of the PAT Team or Product Development Team you will support the decision-making process and introduction of these varieties.

What are you going to do?

This position revolves around testing new varieties and selecting the best ones. As Product Specialist you will trial, evaluate and report on new experimental varieties in all stages before the commercial release. You will identify promising varieties.

Furthermore, you will support the final selection process to find the right varieties fitting the market’s demand. After the selection process, you will be involved in the introduction of the new varieties to the market. During the process you will work in close cooperation with international breeding and sales teams. You will report to the Area Sales Manager.

To be succesful in this position you’ll need the following requirements:

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture
• 3-5 years of seed industry or relevant agriculture experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of field and/or vegetable seed crops and cultivation techniques
• Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills specifically in Excel
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
