Broccoli is a worldwide strongly growing open field crop which is known for its positive human health effects. The crop is grown worldwide under various climatic conditions. Within Enza Zaden broccoli has been added to the brassica crops program for several years and in 2015 an existing US breeding program has been integrated in our brassica activities.
The first variety has been broadly introduced and with the strongly extended breeding program, the development in worldwide trialing and introduction of varieties is giving a real boost forward. Our focus is concentrating on the important growing regions in North America, South Europe and Asia. Our breeding activities focus primarily on the worldwide fresh market and processing market.
With the expansion of our broccoli activities, we are proud to develop a strong brassica portfolio for our existing and new customers.
