Kohlrabi varieties

German roots

Kohlrabi belongs to the brassicaceae family. The biggest consumption for Kohlrabi today is in Germany. Spain and Italy are the production areas in winter to supply fresh kohlrabi to German supermarkets. For the reason that kohlrabi is mainly produced and consumed in areas where German is the home language, it is mentioned as a “typical German vegetable” and the name “kohlrabi” was taken therefore into the language of some other countries.

All seasons

Enza Zaden develops white coloured varieties for all cultivation areas and seasons, from winter in Southern Europe to high summer productions in Northern Europe. In breeding, we pay extra attention to uniformity, bulb and leaf quality, earliness, reliability and productivity of our varieties.
