Customer Service Representative


Guiding and monitoring the timely seed order process

Do you have excellent organization and time management skills to provide an amazing, positive customer experience? Are you able to portray and promote a positive image of the vision, mission and values of Enza Zaden? As a Customer Service Representative you are responsible for guiding and monitoring the timely seed order process, inclusing the information flow to all parties involved.

What are you going to do?

You accept orders, modify existing orders and initiating orders within Enza Zaden. As Customer Service Representative you enter all orders into the ERP software system, according to a fixed procedure. Therefore, you must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and learn new applications quickly.

We are looking for someone who shows personal initiative who when needed, act to resolve any issues problems during the order handling regarding legislation, phytosanitary, variety registrations, country of origin, etc. This means you not only enter the orders but also process invoices and credits in the ABS / ERP system. As a Customer Service Representative, you ensure the order is packed and shipped in timely manner. Your goal is a smooth handling of customers orders. You establish the appropriate way of transportation, prepare the necessary documents and keep the customers and sales team informed. You keep data (assortment, pricelists, customer lists) updated and set up and suggest actions to prevent future cases. In close contact with the Logistics Planner you support the timely placement of purchase planning by sales business support and set up of intercompany transfer orders, ensuring that the seed inventory is always readily available locally to meet forecasted sales.

As Customer Service Representative you provide timely and accurate information, re-direct questions from customers in case of a need of additional information and inform customers and colleagues about the possibilities and impossibilities. The sales team will send requests such as order status, product information, availability and balances on booked or contracted items. They need an accurate report of information. You must be able to juggle many projects simultaneously, want to work as part of a team and contribute a positive team spirit. Because of the knowledge about the seed order process the Customer Service Representative serve as back up for the warehouse employee or assist other colleagues as needed.

Your power

You are a professional with clear communication skills (verbal and written) and want to serve our customers efficiently. In this role you perform the job/duties idenpendently but because of the variation in the tasks you have to be a service oriented team player and maintain relationships with other departments, local and international. As Customer Service Representative you interact with many different people. For processing orders, order flow management, organization of the shipments, local sales planning en support to sales and warehouse colleagues you have to be extremely detail oriented, flexible, pragmatic and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

In short, you:

  • Have at least a bachelor’s degree;
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant equivalent customer service experience
  • Must be willing and able to drive a forklift
  • Occasional travel up to 15%, including domestic and international travel

And finally, you work in an office environment with frequent use of a computer screen.

A drug test will be part of the hiring process.
