Are you looking for a commercial role within an international company? We are looking for expansion of our commercial team. Do you have relevant work experience in sales and marketing within the argricultural industry, vegetable seed industry? As Sales Representative you are realizing product development and direct sales to customers of Enza Zaden.
As Sales Representative you increase the interest for our products and contribute to the promotion of Enza Zaden. You attend strategic agricultural tradeshows representing the organization in the territory but also organize and/or participate in field days and related events. But also maintain relations with representatives of farms, grower associations and other industry associations so we are up to date about the developments on market, product portfolio, pricing, sales, distribution, marketing, competition and observed trends in the market.
You are responsible to identify and develop customers in assigned territory and assesses market size. This means to develop sales targets per customer and crop and execute trial plans with customers. Enza Zaden produce and sell the seeds of more than 30 international and local crops all over the world. In that capacity you identify new varieties for the territory from existing worldwide product assortments and develops introduction plans.
Eventually, the aim is to achieve agreed upon stretch sales goal annually. Therefore, you handle any complaint and resolve issues with the customer service department as it relates to customer satisfaction and other related activities in support of the team efforts like marketing contributions. But also, work together with your local and international colleagues; sales teams, breeders and product specialists.
You have a good understanding how the industry works and want to be part of a growing company. You are well spoken, driven and want to serve our customers efficiently. With the Sales Manager you determine an effective approach per customer and keeps up to date market data on customers. Therefore, it is necessary to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to develop and update customer database tool and sales forecasts.
In short, you:
- have at least a Bachelor’s degree, in Agriculture/Horticulture preferred.
- have relevant work experience in sales and marketing within the agricultural industry, vegetable seed industry preffered (leafy crops)
- must be fluent in English speaking and writing
- like to travel nationally, as well as occasionally internationally (30%-50% of the working time)
And finally, you can work under varying climate conditions and outside working conditions.
