The Opportunity

As a Breeder for Enza Zaden Australia, you are responsible for developing different varieties in the Cucurbit family, predominantly Pumpkins. You will prepare and carry out the breeding programs and projects through observation, assessing and reporting to the Crop Breeding Manager.
You are enthusiastic, creative, and innovative with a long-term vision on breeding. Being able to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders is a must as you will be required to make decisions and function within a global team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning activities involved in a Breeding Project
  • Maintenance of detailed records throughout breeding cycles
  • Advanced decision making in planning of trials
  • Implementation of developed technology in the breeding program
  • Supervising and leading a small team

About You

  • Bachelor of Science/related discipline or 3-5 years relevant experience in breeding
  • Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
  • Able to work under limited supervision · Responsible for planning and execution of projects · Strong communication skills

Location and Remuneration

The role is based in Narromine, NSW however some travel may be required. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to attract the right person for this crucial role.
