Salinas, CA, EE.UU. - Diplomado/Licenciado (Jornada completa)
As Supply Chain Manager (US/CA) you are responsible for Supply Chain Planning for the regional and vegetable crop segment scope for the US/CA markets and for the products supplied through this region. You and your team contribute value to our customers through the delivery of the Right Seeds, of the Right Quality, at the Right Time.
As Enza grows regionally and globally, this role is key for continuing to build and structure our teams and processes in the supply chain. You will inspire, lead, and develop the US Supply Planning team during the journey.
You work seamlessly with the Marketing & Sales teams and across the supply chain to maximize our delivery performance and visibility on available supply, both on short and medium/long term, by leading structured Supply Reviews. This includes translation of forecast and commercial planning into specific delivery plans from multiple supply locations (Distribution Requirements Plan), preparation and allocation of inventory batches, initiation of the required seed treatments, quality testing, and packaging assignments to ensure on time availability at the required quality levels.
Additionally, you are also responsible for the Crop supply chain management for the portfolio of crop segments and varieties produced and/or coming through the US site. You ensure, in collaboration with the Crop Supply Chain managers, that the global supply plan for this portfolio is performed and aligned.
You will also play a leading role in the coordination of the planning processes through the seed processing chain, these processes are performed both at the Enza Salinas site as well as at external service providers in the US. You may also liaise with other Enza sites globally. Product quality is key, so it is not only important to ensure a secure process but also understand and ensure all quality specifications and protocols are well tracked and monitored in the supply chain process.
Furthermore, you and your team play a key role to ensure that all import and export of seeds (and plants as relevant) to other global supply locations or commercial subsidiaries have the appropriate phytosanitary documentation, transportation conditions, and tax and customs requirements.
You have a broad responsibility to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement. You will build a network across Enza throughout the different functions, and work with providers to ensure problems are solved and new ideas can be structurally implemented.
As one of the key leaders for the US business, you will take part in the US cross-functional business reviews and delivery process.
You are a dynamic person who takes initiative. You can portray and promote a positive image of the company’s vision, mission, and values. You are highly dependable and a service-oriented team player. You have strong planning and organization skills. You can empower your team members with the skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
Enza Zaden is a vegetable breeding company that develops vegetable varieties. We produce and sell the seeds of these varieties all over the world. Both for conventional and organic growers. In order to explain this properly (and as briefly as possible) we have made an animation.
For more than 80 years we are working with the best that nature offers. We support this with state-of-the-art technologies to speed up our breeding process. That is really necessary, because currently the development of a new vegetable variety takes up 6 to 10 years.
The results? Strong, healthy, tasty and climate-proof vegetable varieties with higher yield per square meter and less need of crop protection products or fertilizer.
Our strength? More than 2000 passionate colleagues worldwide working together on the vegetables of tomorrow. Therefore, we continuously invest in knowledge and skills with our Enza Academy and under the flag of enzActive we organise various sports activities to stay healthy.
