24 - 26 September 2019
Twisk, The Netherlands
The latest developments in our sector determine tomorrow’s direction. We would like to discuss this with you during our demo days. What is important for the varieties of the future? And how should we respond to this? Together, we can develop varieties that are suitable not only for today, but also for tomorrow. That is why we are offering this warm invitation to attend our demo days in week 39.
One of the most important developments in our sector is mechanical harvesting. Pressure on labour costs and labour shortages are making this increasingly important. Not only for salad types with loose leaves, but also for heads of lettuce. Climate change also affects our daily work, and convenience continues to be a hot topic in our sector. More than enough developments for us to discuss!
Of course, we will be presenting our wide range of leafy crops, such as our full range of iceberg lettuce. But other lettuce types such as cos lettuce, Lollo Rossa, Lollo Bionda, Batavia and green and red oakleaf lettuce will also be shown. Moreover, directly sown babyleaf and Eazyleaf®, spinach and rocket lettuce are not to be missed. We will also have various other successful open field crops on display, such as cauliflower, pumpkin, radish, courgette and leek.
Did you know that we also have many varieties that are suitable for Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) cultivation? You can inspect some of these varieties at our demo location. If you would like to see more, you can make an appointment and we are pleased to show you our complete trial in our NFT greenhouse in Enkhuizen (the Netherlands).
If you would like to visit our demo days/our NFT greenhouse, please make an appointment. Please contact your Enza Zaden growing advisor or contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
