We are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new hydroponic breeding facility in Enkhuizen. This facility is a significant step forward in developing new lettuce varieties specifically for hydroponic systems, aligning with our mission to lead in sustainable, innovative agriculture.
The facility simulates real-world commercial growing conditions and is equipped with a custom-built mobile gully system. Plants move along tracks with spacing adjusted at each growth stage, ensuring an ideal environment for breeding and trials. This system is uniquely designed for flexibility, allowing it to support a wide range of breeding programs with maximum efficiency.
For over ten years, we have supported the hydroponic lettuce market. This new facility is a key step in our breeding program, which aims to produce high-quality varieties. Our focus on innovation and sustainability helps us meet the needs of the growing hydro market.
