What is your vision on global effective learning & development?

How will you contribute to a truly learning culture: blended learning, integrated, innovative and on-demand?

We are looking for a Global Manager Learning & Development who ensures that the employees of Enza Zaden are ready and confident to face the challenges and opportunities of the future.

What are you going to do as a Global Manager Learning & Development?

As a learning and development manager, you'll create and successfully implement learning solutions that ensure our employees can perform at their best. These solutions will align with individual, departmental and organisational learning and development needs. These will also align with the culture of Enza Zaden and you'll leverage technology and innovative tools to support the learning journey.

You know how to develop an overall learning and development strategy for Enza Zaden and its people, that delivers a return on the investment made and delivers the organisational capabilities needed to execute Enza Zaden's strategy. Together with the learning and development specialist, you understand which role learning and development plays in the success of Enza Zaden and make recommendations to decision-makers.

You report to the VP HR and you will be responsible, together with the HR Business Partners, for influencing at all levels in the organisation to adopt and support effective approaches to learning and development. But also identify external training partners, manage training budgets, forecast current and future costs and give advice on the right course of action. You will also contribute to succession planning, performance management and other talent management processes and initiatives.

Your power

You are capable of both assessing current and future training needs, creating learning content, implementing it and evaluate the success of learning interventions. Therefore you need to be able to analyse business needs and to report back how the learning and development strategy supports the business strategy to senior management.

Facilitation and coaching skills, diplomacy and the ability to influence senior management are essential if you are to thrive as a Global Manager Learning and Development.

In short, you:

  • have a bachelor's degree or relevant experience as Learning & Development Manager;
  • experience as an HR generalist / Business Partner is a big plus;
  • can develop and customise activities to ensure participant engagement and knowledge retention;
  • stay informed of the latest learning and development products and approaches;
  • are fluent in English (verbal and written), Dutch is a big plus.

For more than 80 years we are working with the best that nature offers. We support this with state-of-the-art technologies to speed up our breeding process. That is really necessary, because currently the development of a new vegetable variety takes up 6 to 10 years.
