Are you both a market research passionate and a strategist with serious analytical and statistical skills who can drive change?
What are you going to do?
The Market Intelligence Manager(MIM) is responsible for building and deepening an integral view of our business through both internal and external quantitative and qualitative market research and data analysis, in order to deliver insightful and actionable marketing strategies. You ask the right questions, know where to seek the answers, and revel in making the complex simple and actionable.
The role of MIM is to understand Enza Zaden’s global markets by analyzing its dynamics and advise the Marketing & Sales leadership team how to optimize Enza Zaden’s value creation through strategies and tactics.
You are responsible to gather information and data in a structural and systematic way and make or facilitate regular reports on our (global) market position, (crop and segment) market trends and competitor scans. In this position you stand in the center of all our strategic marketing initiatives. The availability and use of up to date information on target markets will build a bridge between R&D, Portfolio Management, Marketing Management, Innovation Management and Sales.
Market research is a critical component of the start of a new product. As a seed company we want to satisfy any unmet needs of our customers (producing top vegetables) and their end consumers (eating and enjoying). For new product development you wil conduct as a preliminary step (online) surveys, product testing, and focus groups with customers and end users. This requires both an analytical and creative mind.
You will support global, regional and local marketing and sales teams by gathering information that focuses on food industry & consumer insights, analyzing industry data, consumer and market trends. You transfer these findings and opportunities in ways that can be easily disseminated throughout the business for use by sales, marketing, breeding research and management decisions.
You will serve as ‘change agent’ and be one of the advocates of further professionalizing market research practices. One of your key tasks is to design and carry out marketing surveys to define target markets and determine existing and future trends.
Establishing a network in the seed industry and with market research companies will also play an essential role in growing our business and creating new strategic market activities.
You will work in a professional Marketing team where your market intelligence helps them to turn data into actionable insights that drive tangible outcomes, improve performance and help Enza Zaden lead the market. A market analist supports you in this role and you will report to the Vice President Marketing.
We are looking for a marketing professional who knows how to translate in-house collected market data and third-party company surveys to market intelligence in order to drive business optimization.
That demands an impact-driven, business-minded, pro-active candidate with strong analytical capabilities.
You have excellent and clear communication skills in English. You are creative, accurate and have an eye for detail. Furthermore you are a team player with a positive attitude and global mindset. You stay on top of the latest market developments in the seed business and are able to transfer this knowledge to your colleagues.
You look for the best possible way to achieve goals and are able to connect and collaborate effectively with both internal and external parties.
You live in Holland or are willing to move there and are willing to travel frequently.
In short, you;
- Have a Master degree in Marketing Analytics or Business Information.
- Have at least 10-12 years working experience in a similar position.
- Are an outstanding analytical and conceptual thinker.
- Are a analytics translator.
- Have a strong attention to detail.
Enza Zaden is a vegetable breeding company that develops vegetable varieties. We produce and sell the seeds of these varieties all over the world. Both for conventional and organic growers. In order to explain this properly (and as briefly as possible) we have made an animation.
For more than 80 years we are working with the best that nature offers. We support this with state-of-the-art technologies to speed up our breeding process. That is really necessary, because currently the development of a new vegetable variety takes up 6 to 10 years.
The results? Strong, healthy, tasty and climate-proof vegetable varieties with higher yield per square meter and less need of crop protection products or fertilizer.
Our strength? More than 2300 passionate colleagues worldwide working together on the vegetables of tomorrow. Therefore, we continuously invest in knowledge and skills with our Enza Academy and under the flag of enzActive we organise various sports activities to stay healthy.
