As Head of Seed Supply Chain for South East Asia, you are required to design & implement the Seed Supply chain strategy for the region, as per the strategic direction of the company. You are required to actively participate in Regional Management Team meetings as a member to propose & discuss the subject matters for the betterment of the organization. Also, develop & implement policies & procedures to optimize the value of the entire seed supply chain function to achieve best-in-class efficiency. You will also need to establish an annual budget, goals, and objectives, in coordination with corporate objectives, and manage performance to ensure attainment. Ensure that all materials are available, either through producing or insourcing when needed so that the company can meet customers’ requirements.
In addition, you will need to plan & execution the seed production, as per the company’s IP security policies. The process needs to be planned and executed to ensure the quality of the produced seed. Review demand forecasts with the sales & marketing team and processing schedules with the production management team. At the same time, you are required to develop the seed production team.
Besides, you will be responsible for inventory control, distribution, and logistics within & outside the region as per business requirements. You will need to ensure that seed quality is maintained in the best of conditions (as per company standard) throughout the whole chain from production until dispatch.
You will need to ensure that plant & machinery (Logistics building & infrastructure) are managed in optimal manner.
As the Head of Seed Supply Chain, you are responbile for your team management. You will need to hire, train, supervision, coach & mentor the team for the success of the department & company in order to develop & implement the talent management strategy for the team members.
Additionally, you are required to collaborate with staff, other departments, senior management, and decision-makers to share information, problems solving, and clarify management objectives. You will need to maintain good working relationships with vendors and other stakeholders and also manage and/or execute procurement-related functions (e.g., contract management and procurement frameworks, sourcing strategies, negotiating agreements, draft, and managing contracts, etc.). You are responsible to direct and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Also as Head of the seed supply chain, you are required to Identify and mitigate risk within the Seed Operations.
