Casual Workers - Pumpkin Breeding

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic worker to join our Pumpkin Breeding team in a casual capacity starting 15 December for a period of 3 months, however dates can be flexible for the right candidate.

If you are interested in research plant breeding, horticulture or just want to learn more about the seed industry, this is the job for you!

You will have strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and be part of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pollinating Pumpkin lines
  • Extraction & cleaning of seeds
  • Field work as required
  • Co-responsible for a healthy and safe working environment

Location and Remuneration

The role is based at the research station in Pukekohoe, New Zealand. Pay rate of $23.00 per hour will apply.
