Trial fields, Twisk
Enza Zaden has a wide range of leafy crops and open field crops. Our varieties are not only reliable, but also qualitatively strong and have high resistances.
Visit our demo days in Twisk during week 39 - from Tuesday 26th through to Friday 29th September - and see for yourself what we have to offer. Based on what we see in practice we can discuss which characteristics are important to you, and how we can help you make the most of them.
Fokke Hoeksma, Open Field growing advisor, explains: “You will find our full range of iceberg lettuce in our fields. In addition to successful commercial varieties such as Damion, Elmundo and Eduardo , we will also show you varieties that have been successfully screened and will be trialed on a larger scale next year. We will also show you all types of cos lettuce. From Little Gem to the larger types and a whole new series of red cos lettuce types.”
Other lettuce types will also be included, such as Lollo Rosso, Lollo Bionda, Batavia and the green and red oak leaf types.
“We would also like to introduce you to endive, directly sown Babyleaf and Eazyleaf and spinach. You will also find various rocket varieties in our fields,” according to Fokke.
In addition to the crops in the field, there will also be displays of our wide range of other successful open field crops, such as cauliflower, pumpkin, radish, broccoli, courgette and leek. For example, what about our Orange Summer pumpkin variety, which is known for its flavour and exceptional yield?
In other words, there is plenty to see and do. All parties working in or interested in open field cultivation are more than welcome: from growers to the processing industry, traders and retail.
If you want to visit us during our demo days, please make an appointment with your Enza Zaden sales representative or via marketing@enzazaden.nl. We can then guarantee that our representatives will be able to give you enough time and attention.
Our trial location are located on the Bennemeersweg in Twisk, just past number 14. You will recognise the location by the signs and flags along the side of the road.
