Eye for detail

Willem Weel, Operational Supply Planner
As an Operational Supply Planner, Willem has a great eye for detail. You see this not only at work, but also at home.

Willem: "I recognize and appreciate the different ingredients in a dish. I love that variety! I also use this ability to accurately decide how much seasoning the soup needs.

My tip? Taste! Taste while cooking to determine which flavorings you can use to make the soup even tastier. And taste while eating to fully enjoy the different flavors."

Organizational talent

Maartje Jorritsma - Project Management Assistant

In her role, Maartje needs good organizational skills to make sure various tasks are completed in time. This also applies to cooking. “Cooking in a structured way will you save time. So: get organized. Gather all necessary ingredients; cut all at once. Use a cooking timer, so that everything is cooked properly and does not burn. During cooking, clean up! That way, you ensure a nice after-dinner moment as well. Do I always follow a recipe to the letter? No, I taste in between. If needed, I throw in extra herbs or a left-over vegetable. Just like a working day, it doesn't always have to go entirely according to plan. You can sometimes even deviate from the recipe to make it more fun (or tastier)!”

Creativity and experience

Idelet van der Velde, Key User

To make dining memorable, you need more than tasty food. Idelet van der Velde is Key User, with many creative ideas: "The content can be delicious in itself, but appearance does matter too. We try to spice up the DSCP training within Production, by incorporating the content into an assignment. I like to use my creativity in this. People still talk about ‘those sessions building Knexx’ or ‘the DSCP games in the Bio-Scope hall’. So, I would serve this soup in a colorful vintage bowl with a matching napkin. Of course, don't forget the topping; a delicious herb like coriander or mint. Together with good company and nice music in the background. That's how you create an experience that lasts. Bon appétit!"
