Bigelow is a unique cross between a romaine and an iceberg lettuce. It is compact with upright heads that are dense and well-filled. Its glossy, wide leaves have a prominent rib and a juicy crunch with attractive, scalloped leaf margins and thick leaf texture allows this variety to maintain it’s crunch. It has good bolt tolerance and field holding capability and is adaptable to be grown in multiple seasons and growing conditions.
