Enza Zaden has officially opened Bionova Center in our Almería station (Spain). The new building is a center of expertise for insects transmitted viruses, and diseases caused by fungi and viruses present in the Mediterranean area.

Jaap Mazereeuw (CEO): “Spain is an important center of excellence. With Bionova Center, Enza Zaden will be able to develop new varieties with resistances and introduce them to the market faster. It is a center of research and innovative technologies.”
The building hosts a laboratory, several offices, canteen, meeting rooms, changing rooms and a warehouse. In the building and the greenhouses special attention is paid to safety tools and sustainability like solar panels.
