In 1987 we started our foreign breeding activities in Spain. Ten years later we opened our own breeding station near Almeria. Since then, the Spanish market has grown to a total area of about 40,000 hectares of plastic greenhouses.
1985 saw the opening of the commercial sales office Enza Zaden UK, our first foreign subsidiary. That marked the beginning of rapid international expansion. Within a period of fifteen years Enza Zaden set up subsidiaries in Italy, Indonesia, the USA, France, Turkey and Germany. We are now to be found on all the continents in the world.
